Qatar vs India
Qatar managed to open a Group E campaign in line with expectations. Next task against India on the second week of Tuesday (9/10). The same mission is targeted in this fight because they will return to play as host at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Last Thursday (5/9) they received an Afghan visit and won with a score of 6-0. Almoez Ali became the star of the match through nicks hattrick (4 ‘, 11’, 51 ‘), while the remainder were contributed by Hassan Al Haydos (13’), Abdelkarim Hassan (34 ‘), and Boualem Khoukhi (67’).
India itself must swallow a bitter defeat in its inaugural match against Oman. They had won first in the first round through Sunii Chhetri (4 ‘), but had to admit defeat after Rabia Said Al Alawi Al Mandhar scored two goals for visitors at the end of the match, namely 82 minutes’ and 90′.
These results are feared to damage the morale of children, especially if tomorrow will compete in the cage of the enemy. In theory, Qatar is indeed the toughest opponent in this group compared to Oman, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. So it’s only natural that India feels tense.
In 2011 India had a chance to try out the power of Qatar and managed to win with a score of 1-2 in a friendly match. However, there have been many changes over the past eight years, moreover the host has also just become an Asian Cup champion. It is likely that Qatar will be able to avenge him in the match tomorrow, utilizing the sharpness of Almoez Ali who is on fire.
