Celtic vs Nomme Kalju will be back in the second leg of the Champions League Qualifying second round. For this second leg, Nomme Kalju will take turns acting as the host.
This second leg seems to only be a formality match considering that in the first leg then Celtic successfully won a victory that was enough to bring them to the third round. At Celtic Park then Celtic finished off Nomme Kalju 5-0 with goals scored by Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie with 2 goals, Leigh Griffiths and Callum McGroger. With this result, the only thing that made Celtic fall was defeat with a score of more than 5 goals at the Nomme Cheese headquarters later.
Match statistics in the first leg then did show a difference in quality that was quite striking between the two. A big enough advantage will likely make Neil Lennon make a number of rotations in the second leg later. Celtic really need to do it, considering that after this match they will face St Johnstone in the Scottish Week’s first Premiership. Whereas Nomme Kalju, they will keep going down with the best players to be able to at least compensate for the aggressive play of Celtic.
