The two lame camps will meet this weekend when Lincoln City entertain Stevenage at Sincil Bank. The match will begin on Saturday (16/2) as the 32nd task of the hosts in League 2.
Lincoln had to be heartened to reach a 1-1 draw against Northampton on Saturday (9/2) and then had to play with 10 people since the 42nd minute, following Harry Anderson’s red card. The result was better than Stevenage, who lost 2-0 at Tranmere headquarters, plus two Ben Nugent red cards and Elijah Adebayo on 75 and 93 minutes.
It will be interesting to watch how each camp’s reaction fills in the absence of their players. Lincoln himself was quite optimistic because the draw at least made them never lose as hosts in 2019, starting with the same score against Port Vale, then winning 1-0 over 10 Grimsby players.
On the other hand, last weekend’s visit made Stevenage have to lose again in the away match after falling with the same score at Cambridge Utd headquarters, although he also won 1-2 over Morecambe.
Host status and position at the top makes Lincoln the favorite team in tomorrow’s duel, while leaving Stevenage who is still struggling in 9th place. In addition, Lincoln also managed to steal a 0-1 win at Stevenage last December after a 3-0 win at Sincil a year before.
