Iceland vs Turkey
Turkey continued its journey in Group H as a spotlight after last weekend defeating France. They will be back tonight, this time at the Laugardalsvollur Stadium facing Iceland.
Turkey was given the task of entertaining France on Sunday (9/6) yesterday and managed to surprise a 2-0 victory. They did appear more effective in the match with 6 shot on targets of 37% possession, while France were not able to kick right on target.
Thanks to the results, Turkey rose to the top of Group H with perfect points, namely 3 wins in 3 matches. Tomorrow will be the second away game after the opening game stole 0-2 as an Albanian guest.
Iceland also did not want to lose to achieve positive results last weekend with a score of 1-0 only against Albania. This time Johann Berg Gudmundsson became the winner through his single goal in the 22nd minute at the same time to help the hosts crawl to 3rd with 6 points.
As such, tomorrow’s match will be the second home match for Iceland, and of course they want to continue to win to move France in second place on goal difference at the moment, even replacing Turkey at the top someday.
