Chelsea – Leicester / Premier League – In one of the more interesting duels of the 23rd round of the Premiership, the last two English champions meet. Chelsea currently occupy a better table position, the third, while Leicester is in eighth place with 16 points behind. Both teams lost in the FA Cup last weekend as they drew against lower-ranked teams in the competition. Chelsea has won in the last four matches of these two teams.

The “blues” from London are therefore expecting all three points against the popular “foxes”, especially because they have remained guilty of their fans after the three draws in a row. It all began with the away duel in the championship at city rivals Arsenal. At Emirates Stadium, they drew 2-2 and extended their Premier League series to four wins and two draws. The visitors from Leicester also lost in the FA Cup last weekend as they drew in a goalless draw at third division Fleetwood, so they have to fight home for their fourth round in the first leg. Just at home they brought in the last championship duel a 3-0 victory against Huddersfield, which they have finally stopped the unpleasant series of three defeats and a draw. Thus, they have also consolidated on the eighth table position.
Coach Puel’s protégés have finally moved up from the relegation zone into the top half of the table, thanks to the last brilliant series of four straight wins, and given their current form, they want to stay there until the end of the championship. With this duel against Chelsea ends the series of very heavy duels of Leicester. In these duels, center-back Morgan, defender Fuchs and striker Vardy suffered injuries, while defender Simpson and center-back Huth have been injured for some time.
