Stade Brestois vs Rennes
Rennes will hold the second trial match on this summer’s holiday to face Brest. The midnight match will also be the second meeting of the year after they met in the Coupe de France competition in early January.
The match went exciting where the host Rennes released up to 12 shot on targets from a total of 38 trials, while the visitors responded 13 times, 6 of whom met the target. Score 2-2 draw did not change until an additional round which eventually won the host on penalties.
Rennes certainly learned a lot from the match because it was the first draw after winning three previous meetings in a row which were all party trials. This time they will appear more seriously as Coupe de France champions with the same drama facing PSG in the top party.
Brest itself has performed 2 times in this month’s test matches, all of which were won with identical scores, 2-1, against Lorient and Guingamp. The capital will be used again to make a surprise against Rennes, even though this time there is no competition for tickets.
