Pyramids FC vs Wadi Degla SC
The red card incident last week thwarted the efforts of the Pyramids FC to win. Wednesday (5/15) they are determined to rise when facing Wadi Degla at the Stadium 30 June.
Pyramids FC also performed there on Sunday (5/5) and had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Al Masry; they had a quick lead 4 minutes after kick off, but Ahmed Ayman Mansour’s red card on 30 minutes made the visitors equalize in the second half.
Five days later, Wadi Degla appeared to face Zamalek and had to admit the hosts’ advantage with a 2-1 position through goals from Omar El Said and Mahmoud Alaa all of which were scored in the first round. It was this victory that helped Zamalek secure the runner-up position by just 1 point difference from the Pyramids FC below.
Instead, the defeat became Wadi Degla’s worst report card since March after having recorded 2 wins and 3 draws. As a result, they were thrown from the top 10 zone, exactly to number 13.
On the other hand, yesterday’s draw at least still extended Pyramids FC’s unbeaten record since April with 4 consecutive wins and 2 draws. They were determined to maintain this achievement, especially after only being able to reap the 1-1 draw from Wadi Degla headquarters last November with the same reason, namely the red card.
