Port Vale vs Scunthorpe United
Port Vale is trying to close this month’s report card with an unbeaten report card. The closing match will be held Saturday (29/2) against Scunthorpe in Week 36 of League Two. Bantrok in Vale Park obliged to end with a victory.
Port Vale acted as Walsall’s guest last Saturday (22/2) and had to settle for a 2-2 draw. On the positive side, they are unbeaten throughout February with 3 wins and 2 draws against Salford City (1-1), Northampton (0-1), Forest Green (2-3) and Colchester (3-0).
Meanwhile, Scunthorpe managed to take advantage of their home games to win over Forest Green. This time John McAtee’s single goal was enough to silence the visitors, as well as winning the second win in four matches this month.
The problem is, Scunthorpe only won once in five games away this year, namely when against Oldham (0-2) in the first game, then draw with Bradford (2-2), then lost streak to Portsmuth (2-1), Northampton ( 3-0), and Crawley (3-1). In fact, they are still scattered at number 17 with a distance of four digits from Newport on it.
That trend is predicted to trouble Scunthorpe in tomorrow’s match, especially if last season also lost 3-1 at Vale Park. Port Vale itself will strive to realize their dreams, while breaking into the play-off zone with a goal difference at the moment.
Our Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Odds: 2.07
