Palestino vs Santiago Morning
Palestino was reunited with Santiago Morning in the second round of the Copa Chile. The first leg will be held on Thursday (6/6) at the Estadio Municipal de La Cisterna.
The hosts have just been confirmed to have failed at the Copa Sudamericana after being humiliated by Zulia FC on a single goal last Thursday (30/5). Although thin, the score was enough to make them give up 1-3 on aggregate. Of course Palestino was very disappointed with the result because it controlled 73% of the possession and released 8 shots on target which was only replied 3 times by the visitor.
On the one hand, tomorrow’s match will be the second task for Santiago Morning after opening the campaign this month with a 0-2 defeat against San Luis. In fact, the defeat made them never win in the last five Primera B matches with 2 draws and 3 defeats.
With such a bad record, Santiago Morning was considered a suitable opponent for Palestino, although the host himself had never won in the last 3 games due to yesterday’s results. The last meeting of the two camps occurred at the end of 2011 when they were both becoming Primera Division participants with a 2-4 defeat of Palestino as the host. They have to wait 8 years for revenge and the opportunity will arrive in the middle of this week.
Our Prediction: Over 2.5
