Morocco vs Benin
Morocco received an easy draw in the last 16 of the African Nations Cup this year against Benin, who appeared less convincing throughout the group qualification. The match was held on Friday (5/7) at Al Salam Cairo Stadium.
Morocco managed to qualify from group D with perfect points after Monday (1/7) and won with a thin score over South Africa. This time Mbark Boussoufa became the hero of victory through the only goal of the newly born puppet in the 90th minute. Thanks to that victory, they also managed to qualify as group winners also inhabited by Ivory Coast and Namibia.
Benin itself must appear until Tuesday (2/7) against Cameroon and end the match with a score of 0-0. They were satisfied with the results because it did look very bad with 27% possession without a shot on target. After all, they were able to get away with that result even though they landed in 3rd place in Group F.
Benin luck is predicted to run out of matches tomorrow because they have to face Morocco. The team managed to wipe out 3 Group D matches thanks to yesterday’s results, starting with the same score for Namibia and Ivory Coast.
On the contrary, yesterday’s draw made Benin close all yesterday’s qualifiers with a draw, starting with a score of 2-2 against Ghana, then 0-0 against Guinea-Bissau. From this we can conclude that the appearance of two countries is quite contrasting.
Morocco’s winning forecast is also supported by historical records where they have won three consecutive matches against Benin, each with a score of 4-0, 3-1 and 6-1.
Our Prediction: 1
Odds: 1.60
