Keflavik vs Magni
The Iceland Division 1 match has entered the 12th week, where one of the matches this week presents a match between Keflavik who played as host to host Magni in Nettóvöllurinn. This match is quite interesting because both the hosts and their visitors both played disappointing lately, they both failed to win in the last 4 matches. It seems like both teams are ambitious to erase that bad record by winning the match.
The two teams had just met last May, when they played at Magni’s headquarters but they had to be humiliated by Keflavik with a 1-3 defeat. Interestingly in the match Magni took the lead in the 42nd minute, I. Sigurbjörnsson opened the tap in the match and the score held on until halftime. However in the second half Keflavik was able to reverse only in the 2-minute time frame exactly 60 and 62 minutes scored by I. Guðnason and A. Róbertsson then R. Sigurgeirsson scored the 90th minute closing goal.
Of course the defeat still made an impression on Magni, besides that the match was the first meeting of the two teams but Magni had to collapse at his own headquarters. On Keflavik side they certainly rely on those 3 players again to hope to repeat their contribution, the chance for this victory is still on Keflavik, this is not apart from the home advantage but also they are totally different.
Magni is the caretaker team in the standings, from 11 matches that have been played only able to collect 1 win, 4 draw and 6 lose. The only team they defeated was Njardvík, while Keflavik was ranked better at number 6. Back again to see the meeting and also Keflavik is still better, chances are the visitors will be defeated.
Our Prediction: 1
