Two non-seeded teams in Euro D group qualifications, Georgia and Gibraltar will face each other on Friday (07/06) tonight. This will be an opportunity for both teams to reach the first points in this event. Joining together with Ireland, Switzerland and Denmark made both teams become non-superior teams in this D group. Evidently, in the first 2 games both in this group both teams have not been able to do anything special. Georgia fell 0-2 against Switzerland and 0-1 against Ireland, while Gibraltar only played once and fell 0-1 to Ireland.
The above results make the position of the two teams slumped in the bottom two positions of Group D and are now 4 points adrift of Switzerland in second place which is the boundary towards Euro 2020. The two new countries have met twice throughout history. The two meetings took place in the previous edition of the Euroa qualifying group. In the two meetings Georgia took the lead over Gibraltar, in the first meeting Georgia took a 3-0 lead at the Gibraltar headquarters and at the second meeting Georgia returned to winning 4-0 at home. At this meeting Georgia will be more favored than Gibraltar.
