Al-Nassr vs Al Wehda
The Asian Champions League event will be Al Nassr’s first menu after enjoying the competition. They will face Al Wahda at King Fahd Stadium in the first leg of the last 16. Victory is a mandatory mission in order to open opportunities to qualify.
Al Nassr finished as runners-up in the Group A qualifying round. However, their position rose as the best participant for the home record despite losing 2-3 to Zob Ahan, then winning consecutive Al Zawraa and Al Wasl with a score of 4-1 and 3-1. There are three players who must be especially wary because they have contributed a total of 7 goals for Al Nassr, namely Giulinao, Yahya Alshehri, and Abdullah Al Salem.
Meanwhile, Al Wahda is a champion of Group B. However, they are recorded to only win 1 away, with a score of 1-2 against Al Rayyan, while the rest lose 2-0 to Lokomotov Tashkent then draw 1-1 with Al Ittihad . Leonardo da Silva became the most prolific player in the group with a score of 8 goals, plus threats from Sebastian Tagliabue and Mohammed Al Menhali who both contributed 2 goals.
That strength will be used by Al Wahda to make a surprise at King Fahd. However, they also should not be careless as the first visit there. Observing the record during the qualifying round, the hosts had a great opportunity to win even though they would be troubled to stem the visitors’ fertility.
