Japan vs Trinidad Tobago
Wednesday (5/6), Toyota Stadium will hold an international test match between Japan and Trinidad & Tobago. The host of the Rising Sun team was seeded as the winner in the face of sub-standard African representatives so far.
Tomorrow’s match will be the first game for Japan after last March entertaining Bolivia at the same event at the Misaki Park Stadium; at that time they won through Shoya Nakajima’s only goal scored on 76 minutes. Statistically, the host was indeed more worthy of winning with 67% possession and 6 shots on target which was only returned twice by Dennis Lawrence.
With these results, Trinidad & Tobago means suffering 3 straight losses with the same score, which is 1-0. As for the previous two matches they were against Thailand and Iran. Of course this is a very bad signal because the whole game was played in the enemy cage.
Japan will use tomorrow’s match to build the confidence of the players, while maintaining the momentum of the victory that was only achieved last March. the first and only trial against Trinidad & Tobago retreated deep into 2006 with a 2-0 win.
