Wycombe Wanderers vs Fleetwood Town
Wycombe Wanderers managed to take advantage of last weekend’s home games to win this month’s inaugural victory. In the middle of this week they play the same task when entertaining Fleetwood Town in Week 31 League One. The clash opened at Adams Park.
Wycombe Wanderers was visited by Bristol Rovers last Saturday (8/2) and won 3-1. They both released 6 shots on target, but the hosts were more clinical so they were able to score more goals. These results also helped Adebayo Akinfenwa make up for defeat in the inaugural game this month, while converting 16 home games this season to 12 wins.
On the enemy side, Fleetwood Town won its second victory this month at home to AFC Wimbledon. They performed on the same day last weekend and managed to silence the host with 1-2 positions. Of course this result is a valuable asset ahead of tomorrow’s visit, although their away record is still less than ideal with 4 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats.
Fleetwood is also still scattered in rank 9 with a difference of three points from the big 6 zone. At a minimum, they must be able to finish there so they can take part in the play offs at the end of this season. Meanwhile, Wycombe Wanderers is still trying to catch up with the same difference as runner-up. The first game this season they could only bring a 1-1 draw score from the Fleetwood headquarters, while playing three times to secure a score of 1-0, 1-1, and 1-0. This tradition is predicted to continue with an impressive record at home.
Our Prediction: Under 2.5 goals
Odds: 1.67
